When Chris and Madeleine purchased their property in Avondale it was always with a view to creating an open family space and adding rooms for their expanding family and to take advantage of some very good views of the Waitemata harbour so they approached Graham from Cooper & Cooper Renovations, the Auckland Renovation Specialist.
The renovation included removal of walls to create an open plan living area with corner window and open plan kitchen, new front entrance area, addition of a second floor, replacement of roof and deck – all while minimising the disruption to the family as much as possible.
The West Auckland builder team at Cooper Renovations were able to help Chris and Madeleine through their renovation fears by consulting with them throughout the process. Any questions or concerns were dealt with promptly.
After enjoying some time in their Blockhouse Bay property time came for John & Louise to renovate their property to a high standard for a quick and profitable sale. They approached Graham from Cooper & Cooper Renovations.
The renovation consisted of timber flooring replacement, tiling, replacement of a deck, replacing doors and windows, repile carport and a complete new roof, guttering and skylight. The client was very happy with the flexibility of the team at Cooper renovations as we helped them through the process, when more work that was not signed off previously was discovered.
The resulting property is an entertainer’s dream catering to either a quiet evening with friends or a large family gathering for that special occasion. Our clients were delighted.
Tania and Aiden purchased a picturesque property in Oratia, West Auckland, with stunning views and surrounded by native bush, but the existing house was falling apart. When they contacted Cooper and Cooper Builders Auckland, they had already made the decision to demolish the old house and build a new home.
This architecturally designed home was a very technical build with some beautiful detailing around windows. A cedar weatherboard house that looks fantastic with a concrete feature wall entry, giving a great contrast in materials.
In our early discussions, Tania and Aiden mentioned how it would be great to keep some mementos from the old house. We decided that throughout the demolition stage we would collect any timber that could be recycled, such as the old Rimu joists, the Kauri T & G flooring, and the Kauri weatherboards. We were able to re-run the floor boards and use them in the entryway, dining room and kitchen. The joists were dressed and we made exquisite vanities. The weatherboards were dressed too, for the wall paneling in the kitchen and behind the fireplace.
The end result is a stylish, modern home that Tania and Aiden are loving, and will enjoy for many years to come!
Derek and Mena’s family got to a stage that many of us get to when they decided to renovate their property at Glen Eden, West Auckland. They wanted to improve the functionality of the property by improving the layout so accommodate a changing family situation and all of this to a very tight budget. Graham at Cooper and Cooper, the Auckland Renovation Specialist was delighted to work with Derek and Mena to facilitate this.
Prior to the renovation the 1960’s house had very closed in rooms and the clients wanted to break open the kitchens and walls. We achieved this with the addition of a steel frame portal. Cooper & Cooper Renovations sourced all of the materials required for the project, including matching tongue and groove flooring to existing flooring.
With the couple living in the house during the project a make-shift kitchen was set up in the laundry to assist in keeping the family as comfortable as possible. The clients were more than happy with the resulting quality and were very relieved to get their family moved in to enjoy the house.
Tom purchased the 7th floor apartment in a central Auckland Heritage building with a view to renovate it to a high standard for a quick and profitable sale. They approached Graham from Cooper & Cooper Renovations.
The client was very happy with the flexibility of the team at Cooper renovations as he changed his ideas as the project was carried out. Tom had a very clear vision and was excited by our flexibility.
With neighbouring units and restaurants close by the noise restrictions posed some challenges that the builders worked around happily.
The many updated features include high ceilings, dark oak wooden floors, feature wall panelling in the bedrooms, a new kitchen and bathroom which have been designed in keeping with the character of the building but with a modern twist.
This roomy apartment is situated on the corner offering both bedrooms fantastic ventilation and light. The morning sun pours into the living area and front bedroom and the afternoon sun pours into the back bedroom. From the living area and front bedroom there is a lovely outlook out to the harbour. Extra storage is located as you enter the apartment.
When Shaun and Miranda decided to add a garage, rumpus room and entry to a laundry to their Green Bay property, they were concerned about finding a West Auckland builder that would carry out the job with a quality finish and to budget. Enter Graham from Cooper & Cooper Ltd, the Auckland Renovation Specialist.
Prior to the addition this busy mum and dad with 2 young boys were finding that they required more room and wanted to improve the flow of the house. So we sourced all materials, removed an existing detached garage, did minor excavation and block work then set about building a garage with internal access and stairs – also a games room and laundry. We were able to keep mess and noise to a minimum so the family was able to live comfortably within the dwelling during the renovation.
The team at Cooper & Cooper were able to help Shaun and Miranda through their renovation fears by keeping them up to date regularly throughout the process. Any questions or concerns were dealt with promptly.
Nigel and Anne undertook their renovation to create a flow out to the gardens and pool area for entertaining and resale purposes.
The property, in Greenhithe is set in the most tranquil of settings offering unobstructed views to Lucas Creek from almost every angle. The owners wanted to create a year round outdoor living area that would take into account those lovely views and they wanted to use local West Auckland builders. This included building a waterproof deck to flow out to gardens, sprucing up the pool deck and an addition of a spa pool and gazebo.
After talking the couple through the basics, Graham from Cooper & Cooper, the Auckland Renovation Specialist, then introduced them to our draughtsman who came up with some concepts and the rest, as they say, is history!
Straight off, our Auckland Renovation Designer, Aaron, had very effective collaboration with Living Landscapes & Gardens in the design process – it was very important for us to find the right company for the job as the owners were very precise about their vision for the project.
The couple were rapt seeing their vision come to fruition. They found the team at Cooper & Cooper so easy to deal with and had an immediate rapport with them.
